Porcelain Veneers

Studies have proven that smiling makes you feel good, and it also helps boost the spirit of those around you. But cosmetic dental flaws like stained, chipped, or broken teeth may leave you feeling so self-conscious that you don’t want to smile at all. The problem is that others may see you as being unfriendly or unhappy, and that’s the last impression you want to create!

Porcelain veneers are an excellent option for improving the aesthetics of your smile. If you think that you can’t afford veneers, you may be pleasantly surprised; today, almost anyone who wants porcelain dental veneers can get them.

What Porcelain Veneers Can Do for Your Smile

The first step is to decide if porcelain veneers are the right choice to help you achieve your smile goals. We will arrange an appointment for you to sit down with either Dr. Clemmons or Dr. Burress so they can understand what cosmetic dental problems you want to address:

  • Broken teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Spacing issues
  • Mild alignment problems
  • Severely stained teeth
  • Poorly shaped teeth
  • Teeth that appear to small

A porcelain dental veneer is a thin shell of tooth-shaped ceramic that is customized to fit your teeth. Since they create a brand-new tooth surface, porcelain veneers conceal all of the above flaws and leave you with a fresh new smile.

Two Visits to a Stunning Smile!

In most cases, getting new dental veneers placed on your teeth requires only two visits.

During the first, we’ll take impressions of your teeth and choose a shade for your veneers that will blend naturally with your smile. We’ll use the impressions to create temporary veneers for your teeth to wear while a custom dental lab customizes your veneers.

When your porcelain veneers are ready, you will return to Briarwood Dental. Our dentists will remove the temporaries, check your new veneers for fit, and make any adjustments. Finally, they will be polished and bonded securely to your teeth.

If you maintain excellent oral hygiene and keep up with routine dental exams and cleanings, your new veneers can last ten years or even longer.

Direct Veneers – A Conservative Option

Not sure if you want to commit to porcelain veneers? Ask us about direct veneers! Our dentists apply a tooth-colored resin material to your teeth to conceal many of the same problems as lab veneers do. Since we perform the entire procedure here at Briarwood Dental, direct veneers tend to be more affordable.
