Briarwood Dental

Financial Information

Excellent oral health is so important that it should be a priority for everyone. But for many people, the cost of dental treatment can keep them from visiting the dentist to get the care they need.

At Briarwood Dental, we don’t ever want you to have to go without high-quality dental care because of financial concerns. We have a team of caring professionals who are dedicated to helping you fit the cost of dental treatment into your budget.

Please look through our insurance, membership plans, and other financing options.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call us. We’ll work together to find a way for you and your family to get the care you need.

Dental insurance is a valuable benefit, and we want to be sure you get the most out of your benefits. Whenever you need a particular procedure, our dental team will explain what your insurance benefits are and how they will apply to your treatment. We are happy to provide pre-treatment estimates to give you a better idea of what your out-of-pocket cost will be.

While we accept many insurance companies, we may not be in network with ALL of them.  Also, at this time we are NOT providers for Medicaid. Please don't hesitate to call us if you don't see your insurance listed here or you have other questions.

In-House Dental Savings Membership Plans

It's not insurance, it's better!  We believe excellent dental care should be affordable and accessible to everyone, not just those fortunate enough to have traditional dental insurance, and without hidden out-of-pocket costs.   *****PLEASE NOTE --- ADULT & CHILD MEMBERSHIPS MUST BE PAID IN A LUMP SUM.  MONTHLY PAYMENT PLANS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THOSE 2 PLANS.

If you have a dental problem, we need to address it as quickly as possible. But what if you don’t have insurance or there’s no room left in your budget for the upfront cost of a membership plan?

This is the time when patients at Briarwood Dental turn to a credit financing option called CareCredit. Don’t have the funds to pay for dental treatment today? Use CareCredit to pay the dentist, then take several months to pay back the balance.

Here’s how it works.

It’s easy to apply for CareCredit at our office or online, and they have high approval rates. Once you are approved, choose how long you want to take to pay the balance, usually 6, 12, or 18 months. Pay a small amount every month, and if you make all your payments in the agreed period, CareCredit won’t charge you any interest.

You can also use CareCredit to cover expenses such as dermatology, vision and hearing care, and other wellness treatments. If you’re interested, you can call us or apply directly online at

Dental insurance is a valuable benefit that helps patients afford needed dental treatment. Unfortunately, it is not intended to pay for all your treatment in full. There is a maximum amount they allow for covered procedures, and you are responsible for the balance.

To help you understand how this works, many dental insurance plans use a formula they call "100-80-50" that are applied as follows:

  • 100 percent coverage for preventive teeth cleanings, dental exams, and diagnostic x-rays
  • 80 percent coverage for dental fillings, root canals, and other routine procedures
  • 50 percent coverage for dental crowns, bridges, and other major procedures

Dental insurance rarely covers cosmetic dentistry, but it will partially cover treatments like crowns and bridges that also improve the appearance of your smile.

Don’t worry if this sounds complicated; even those who work with dental insurance daily know what a challenge it can be to understand your coverage and how your benefits apply to treatment. But our staff is highly trained and dedicated to helping our patients maximize their dental coverage in a way that helps them achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.

If you have questions about your dental insurance benefits, please call our office and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.
